What is a storage service?
Storage services are a convenient option where you can store your belongings in case you are not ready to get them back at your new home. At Eastland Movers we offer 8000 Sq. Ft. of climate controlled warehouse space where you can store for as much time as you need and we can deliver once you are ready to get your belongings back.
How long can I use the storage service?
It's all up to you – you can take as much time as you want and be sure that your belongings will be handled with extra care and attention by our professional and well- trained movers.
How much does a storage service cost?
At Eastland Movers we offer first 30 Days of Storage Free and then we charge $0.65 per cubic feet, which means that if your shipment is 1000 cubic feet (size of 3 Bedroom Home), your Storage per month will be $650.00. Please keep in mind that last month is prorated weekly and you won’t be charged for whole month if you need just a week of two additional.
What is storage in transit?
Storage in transit is basically a fee which you may get from brokers or agents for storing your belongings while being shipped. At Eastland Movers we do not charge you for that and its completely free.
Do you offer temporary storage solutions during a move?
If you need some time between pickup and delivery, we can store your shipment indefinitely in our climate-controlled warehouse in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Our rates are based on the size of your shipment, and discounted rates may be offered for long-term storage with us. We also offer the first 30 days of storage free of charge.
Can movers store my belongings overnight or for a short period of time?
Yes, we can store your belongings overnight if needed by simply leaving the shipment in the truck or unloading it in our warehouse for an extended period of time. If you need a week or two before delivery to your new home, please let our representative know and he/she will include this in your estimate.
